Movie...

Yesterday I had the chance to go catch a movie with a friend. It has been a long while since I been to the theaters. We watched "Oz The Great And Powerful", it's a very good movie, I love it, very pretty graphics! Then finally had the chance to go to Ramen Dojo to try out their ramen. Indeed it was good! ^__^ I had the pork flavor soup base and added extra corn and napa cabbage. Yummy!

This weekend finally finished watching the Korean Drama "Reply 1997". At first I watched one episode and didn't think it was that good, so stopped watching it, until one day my friend highly recommend it and suggest we watch it together and it got really interesting and funny after the first episode for me. I enjoyed watching the drama and now it's on my favorite list of Korean dramas. I reminds of a saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover".

This morning I went to the the backyard and see that the daffodil has finally bloom and there is a pomelo on our pomelo tree, so happy! ^___^  I can't wait for the pomelo to grow a little bigger and try it!

Spring...

Today I walked to our backyard and see that there are flowers blooming. Every morning and night hearing the birds singing. Yesterday is the start of daylight saving time! I'm so happy because at 7 pm at night, it'll still be bright. The day would be longer. ^__^

On Friday I had dinner with a friend and learnt something from her, she said she had to say "No" to her team mate when he asked her to drive him somewhere. My friend knows perfectly well that she is not suppose to drive someone under age 21 and the consequences if she is being caught. I think to myself, yeah there are times my friend ask me something that I don't really want to do, but it's just so hard to say "No" to a friend. Therefore sometimes I regret for what I promise. I think I have to learn how to say "No" to my friends and hope that they will understand.

Since the flowers are blooming so pretty right now, here are some pictures I took:

Saturday...

Today is a very productive day for me, I got up early to do my laundry and then meet up with a friend for lunch and to go take pictures. The food was good, we had noodles with meat sauce and chicken mushroom rice with a sweet soy sauce on the side.

After lunch we went to walk around Golden Gate park to take pictures. My friend was nice enough to explain the use of the iso, aperature and shutter speed and how to apply it. It sure makes more sense after she explain it to me. She also took pictures to demonstrate, which make it even more clear. I gain more knowledge after talking to her and thankful that she had the time and willingness to share it with me. ^__^  Here are some pictures I took today:

Vacation...

This past Wednesday I meet up with some friends for dinner at Cheeseboard. The pizza there is pretty good and there is live music. I love the atmosphere there! ^__^ The line could be deceiving, because it seems so long, but actually it's goes pretty quickly and it probably only takes about 10 mins to reach the cashier.  At Cheeseboard they only have one pizza for the day and one salad, so it's pretty simple. I guess it's nice to make it simply, so people like me who are indecisive don't have to bother thinking which one to get.

During dinner one of my friend came back from her vacation and gave me some short bread cookies from Big Island. The green tea chocolate one is so GOOD! The regular one is good too, but I prefer ones with chocolate. It always warms my heart when people who go travel and brings back goodies to share with me.  I've been to Hawaii three times already, but have not got a chance to visit Big Island. Maybe next time I go visit Hawaii, I'll stay at Big Island.

Hum...when will my next vacation be and where? There are a couple places I want to go visit such as: Europe, Hokkaido, and Korea.  I hope I can go oversea this year, because it's been a while since I took the international flight.

Happy Valentine's Day...

Last week I watched a drama and it talked about a guy marrying a girl older than him eight years and had a happy marriage. In reality, how many guys would date a girl that much older than him?  I guess it shouldn't matter regardless what others think, as long as the guy and girl who is in relationship are okay with it.  Valentine's Day is almost here, wishing everyone a "Happy Valentine's Day!"

Happy Chinese New Year!

Today is Chinese New Year! It's nice to gather with families and friends to wish each other good blessings for the year of the Snake.  In the new year I would like to wish everyone good health!

Hilda's Bakery

Yesterday I went to Hilda's bakery to pick up an order of "Hopia", it was really good when eating it fresh. The Hopia was still warm when I first bite into it. My coworker has been talking about how good it was and indeed it was like what she said. I would definitely go back for more next time. Besides getting the Hopia, I also got an order of the "maja", "sapin", "kutchinta" and a piece of the sweet rice. Everything looks so good and the price is very reasonable.  I would highly recommend the "Hopia" to my friends. Inside the "Hopia" is a mung bean filling.  Very delicious!  ^__^
